 o the 1920's and 30's when piano players would provide background music in
  saloons\, speakeasies and bars. Over the years lounge music has morphed t
 hrough several different incarnations while still retaining it's main attr

 riter Martin Harley is making a change. Having created a deep impression o
 n the acoustic blues roots and Americana scene with his last two Nashville
  recorded albums\, his highly anticipated new record finds a new and excit
 ing sound. An Intimate and gritty analogue album\, recorded in a remote ch
 apel deep in the wilds of Pembrokeshire. Taking county blues riffs to the 
 electric bottleneck slide guitar\, served with sweet vocal harmonies over 
 the driving rhythms of co producer and drummer Harry Harding (Yola Carter/
 William the Conquerer) Award winning Australian bassist Rex Horan finalise
 s the line up. He has recorded and performed with Eric Clapton\, Van Morri

  of what has historically become known as the “Bristol Sound“. It´s t
 hat laid back sound that breathes dub\, reggae\, funk\, disco and hip hop\
 , represented by protagonists like Massive Attack\, Smith &amp\; Mighty\, 
 Tricky and Portishead. A sound that left its global traces for more than o
 ne and a half decades. And Daddy G is its spiritus rector because he was o
 ne of the founders of the Wild Bunch Sound System\, out of which later Mas
 sive Attack emerged. Besides Mushroom and 3-D\, Daddy G was both one of th
 e core members of the group as well as one of the group´s main voices.\nW
 ay before being part of a band though\, Daddy G was known as a DJ. As a te
 n year old he already recorded mix tapes\, inspired by the DJ boyfriend of
  his older sister. 1980 he was one of the youngest Bristol DJs\, quickly e
 stablishing his name as a synonym for an eclectic music style. At the part
 ies at which G played\, one could always hear the newest in disco\, fresh 
 punk funk from NY\, the first rap imports as well as soul and dub reggae. 
 When the Wild Bunch Sound System was founded\, Daddy G already was a local
  celebrity. His DJ sets were not only legendary because of their selection
  and his mixing skills\, but because he rocked the microphone as versatile
  as the wheels of steel.Andy Smith was the first DJ to release a multi-gen
 re mix album on a major label. When his mix-CD The Document hit the street
 s back in 1998\, it became the soundtrack for a generation who had heard C
 oldcut's Journeys By DJs but needed to hear more - The Document filled the
  void.\nThis appreciation of different genres made Smith the ideal person 
 to provide sample material for Portishead on their first two albums. He we
 nt on to make his name as the band's international tour DJ – reflecting 
 their respect for both the art of digging for breaks and hip-hop scratch D
 J-ing. Hip-hop elements formed the basis of the unique Portishead sound.\n

 ment\, and one that Huey captures perfectly with his funk-loving NYC Block
  Party.\nThe front man of Fun Lovin’ Criminals and a hugely respected BB
 C 6 Music DJ\, Huey has perfected the sound over decades as an in-demand D
 J and musician. Then again\, as a music obsessive growing up in the Lower 
 East Side of New York\, he lived and breathed the sound and the fashion of

 oogie and Dubby flavours. The LP attracted radio play across BBC 6 Music (
 Huey Morgan\, Mary Ann Hobbs\, Don Letts) as well as featuring on Julie Ad
 enuga ‘s show on Apple's Beats1. The album also received critical acclai
 m from the likes of NME and Clash Magazine. This was followed by multiple 
 EP releases\, both on Tru-Thoughts and Midnight Riot Records. J-Felix has 
 also created remixes for the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band\, Amp Fiddler\, Wer
 kha and Wrongtom and The Ragga Twins \,as well as production work for a mu

 ptopery”.\n\nIn April 2013\, the trio debuted their Lamp Show\, in which
  they are accompanied by a stageful of vintage lamps which are programmed 
 to flash\, fade and flicker in time to the music. The band have since tour
 ed the Lamp Show around the UK\, playing in a host of unusual venues – a
  library\, a ballroom\, a theatre\, a Victorian swimming baths\, and sever
