 rip are well known for their unique live performances and madcap antics de
 eming every performance not just a gig\, but a truly momentous event. So m
 uch so that they have been entertaining the Glastonbury Festival for the l
 ast 11 years. Some say Glastonbury hasn't really started until they've see
 n one of Mik's multiple performances.\n\nMik spouts poetic verse\, creates
  chaos\, plays air-crook lock (!)\, and all-out entertains over the top of
  an exquisite layer of rock\, soul\, funk\, and punk created by multi-inst
 rumentalist Jonny Flockton on electric guitar\, mandolin\, banjo\, and uku
 lele.\n\nIn December 2019 no-less than rock icon and 6Music presenter Iggy
  Pop endorsed Mik's anthem of hope 'Sweet Leaf of the North' as his favour
 ite song of the last DECADE!\, Iggy continues to support the band at every
  opportunity.\n\nMik Artistik’s Ego Trip are genuinely delightful\, fun
 ny\, frightening\, and indefinable. Northern rock and roll stand-up comes
  close.\n\nEvery show is unique as Mik finds a new train of thought to rid
 e. He connects\, chats\, breaks the wall between audience and band\, cre
 ates chaos\, plays air-crook lock (!?)\, all complimented by exquisite la
 yers of rock\, soul\, funk\, and punk created by Jonny Flockton on electri
 c guitar\, drum machine\, and one of a number of well-heeled bass players.
   .\n\nThe band are regular Glastonbury favourites since their first a
 ppearance in 2007.\n\nMany fans don’t consider Glastonbury has started u
 ntil they’ve attended either Mik’s gig on the Wednesday afternoon at t
 he Croissant Neuf Bandstand\, or the chaos that reigns at Thursday evening
 ’s Rocket Lounge gig. Both are now Glastonbury traditions for many fans.
 \n\nThey have achieved an enviable reputation at many of the major UK fes
 tivals\, including Latitude\, Bearded Theory\, Beat Herder\, Wilderness\,
  and Beautiful Days.\n\nBBC Radio 6Music have long been playing Mik’s
  music with Gideon Coe\, Chris Hawkins\, Shaun Keaveny and Tom Robinson
  all big fans of the band.\n\nIn early 2020 no-less than rock icon and 6
