SUMMARY:Silver Moth + Samana
DESCRIPTION:Love Thy Neighbour present - Silver Moth + Samana\n\nBar from 5
 :00pm. Doors 7:30pm - 10:30pm. Standing\n\nTickets on sale from 10:00am on
  Wednesday 17th May 2023 DICE or lovethyneighbourmusic.co.uk/event/silver-
moth\n\n\nStuart Braithwaite of Mogwai\, Elisabeth Elektra\, members of Ab
rasive Trees\, Burning House\, Prosthetic Head\, Evi Vine and Steven Hill
convened to improvise the album in early 2021. A couple of meetings would
subsequently lead to them visiting the dramatic location of Great Bernera
’s Black Bay Studios on the Isle of Lewis\, where they tracked the songs
in just four days: a testament to the musicians’ focused openness to th
eir shared mission and environment.\n\nA leap of faith reaps extraordinary
rewards on Black Bay\, the debut album of depth\, atmosphere and daring f
rom the collective known as Silver Moth. Black Bay is the sound of storied
musicians yielding to shared goals\, a policy of trust in action. Between
hushed incantations and molten guitars\, 15-minute noise-rock epics and h
ealing psalms\, their music is a testament to connectivity and receptivity
: to a union of disparate minds committing to something greater than the s
um of its parts.\n\nPlus support:\nSamana was realised in the heart of a m
ountainous forest\, during a year-long journey Rebecca Rose Harris and Fra
nklin Mockett undertook across the natural wilderness and distant cities o
f Eastern Europe. Lending their instincts solely to the road\, and to the
embodiment of freedom\, their first creations were written in the vast iso
lation of nature and performed on the streets of the towns and villages th
ey passed through. As two multi-disciplinary artists\, Samana weave togeth
er their distinct poetry\, music\, striking photography and fine-art into
one unique project. Crafting every element of creation themselves\, the pr
ocess the pair adopt is the creation of their work is one of a strong ritu
alistic devotion and is produced in their analogue recording studio ‘The
Road Records’ and darkroom in the remote regions of Wales. https://sama
