  Show 8:00pm.\n\nThe Grateful Dudes –\n\nPlaying the music of The Gratef
 ul Dead\, iconic US West Coast acid rock band\, 1965 – 95\, the Dudes ex
 plore the songs\, improvisations and jams from their vast repertoire\, emu
 lating the sound\, style\, freedom and adventure of their live shows.  Mo
 re than a band\, the Dead were a phenomenon – from precursors of psyched
 elic rock in the sixties to the highest grossing US touring act in the lat
 e ‘80s and ‘90s.  As the saying goes\, “There is nothing like a Gra
 teful Dead concert” \; the Dudes aim to capture and re-create some of th
 at magic.\n\nBased in the UK\, the band members have come together from di
 fferent formations in Europe – Deadicace\, Magic Bulbs\, Cosmic Charlies
 \, Shotgun Ragtime Band – and bring a wealth of talent and experience to
  their shows\n\nThe Dudes first met up in 2015\, jamming and playing 3 gig
 s at our rehearsal studio in Leicester.  Our first collective venture int
 o the outside world was in August 2016 at ‘Turn on Your Lovelight’ at 
 the Brooklyn Bowl\, London.  That might have become a regular event had i
 t not closed down!  2017/18/19  saw us in Yorkshire\, Earl’s Court\, t
 he ‘Summer of Love (SoL) Party’ in Kent twice\, Cockfosters and Putney
  in London\, Plauen in Germany\, Devon and Bristol\, and the first date of
  what was to become a bi-monthly residency at the Fiddler’s Elbow in Cam
 den\, London.  2021/22 have taken us to Portsmouth\, Yorkshire\, the outs
 tanding ‘Playing on the Farm’ festival in Gloucestershire celebrating 
 the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead’s Europe’ 72 tour\, and a 3
  gig stint at the ‘Playing in the Band’ festival in Germany.\n\nThe ba
 nd comprises seven members\, with three drummers (but we only let out two 
 at once!).  We’ve had some changes in the bass and rhythm guitar depart
 ments but are now well settled.  We aim\, as always\, to play the music o
 f the Grateful Dead with a high degree of authenticity and in the spirit t
 hat they embodied\n\nThe Grateful Dudes\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n&nbsp\;
