After a break in August Sundays In The Bar are back fro September. They are the last Sunday in the month, this month we present Paul Stenner (The Doctors)

Paul Stenner has played several times at the Con-club as singer song writer and lead guitarist with The Doctors of Philosophy. This will be an opportunity to hear his songs stripped-down to essentials in the more intimate setting of a Sunday in the Bar. An intellectual who has published ten books and given talks at universities throughout the world, Stenner’s song repertoire includes apocalyptic folk songs (Titanic, Parables, Devil’s Dyke), rock songs that unravel the history of modern capitalism (Should have seen it coming, Parasite), soul-searching ballads (Frictionless, Venus), and much more besides. He will be accompanied by at least one other Doctor of Philosophy (Lewes-based keyboard player and author, David Bott).
