The Con Club's very special April/May "Sunday in the Bar" has been moved from the end of April to the May Bank Holiday weekend in order to be part of The Ripple and features some of Starfish's best young solo performers - Lotte Pearl, Lola Britten-Hepper, Theo Howard & Hannah Young. Not to be missed!
For anyone who doesn't know, Starfish has grown from very humble beginnings in 1998, with just a few young musicians and a couple of amps, into a major contributor to the Lewes music scene, putting on popular public music events for all ages. Starfish Youth Music aims to help young people find their own musical voice, and give them confidence in their own creativity. Its young musicians are encouraged to explore writing songs and jamming, communicating ideas, sharing skills, and making decisions for themselves.
As an independent club, Starfish Lewes is not government funded and relies solely on members' fees, donations and fundraising events to finance the running of the project. The Con Club is very keen to encourage and support the Starfish project. Be there and help Music Happen.
Free entry, with a whip-round for donations to Starfish. Please give generously.
Please note we've bumped this event by a week from the last Sunday of April to the first Sunday of May to coincide with the May Day Bank Holiday weekend and of course The Ripple!
