This event is driven by Lewes Music Group, in partnership with the East Sussex Academy of Music (ESAM). The two organisations are committed to providing opportunities for young musicians to work together rehearsing and performing music from a range of styles from all eras of music.
The performances you’ll hear throughout this evening are by some of the best young musicians in the local community. Just a few weeks ago the members of these bands hadn’t yet met, but this hasn’t stopped them for learning a whole load of repertoire for this excellent concert.
The gig will include performances of artists such as Michael Jackson, Nirvana, U2, Fleetwood Mac and more! There is something for everyone.
ESAM delivers music courses at East Sussex College Lewes. The Academy aims to help young musicians experience the highest quality music education possible, while at the same time preparing them for a life working in the music industry. They offer lots of unique opportunities for these students to grow and to develop as musicians.
Lewes Music Group is a community organisation run by young musicians from Sussex. Many of them are alumnus of ESAM, and studied the Pre-Professional Course while there. It is thrilling to have the two organisations working so closely together in presenting this event.
