Roozbeh Golpa is a British-Iranian independent artist whose music fuses the grit of blues with the energy of alternative rock and the sophistication of modern fusion. Nephew of the legendary Iranian singer Akbar Golpa, he honours a rich musical legacy while forging a distinct voice of his own.
Born in Tehran and raised in Brighton & Hove, Roozbeh leads a dynamic live band that shifts effortlessly from atmospheric soundscapes to raw, blues-driven intensity. His performances have earned him recognition at home and abroad, including the Brighton Fringe “Young & Upcoming Artist” award, acclaimed Sofar Sounds sessions in Sweden, and international showcases in London and the United States.
A trailblazer, Roozbeh made history as the first British- Iranian artist to perform original English-language songs in Iran since 1979. His music is more than entertainment—it’s a cross-cultural journey that celebrates heritage, resilience, and creative freedom.
