The Jazz Jamboree Orchestra (JJO) is a Sussex based amateur jazz ensemble directed by trombonist Mark Bassey. It comprises 25-30 musicians – brass, saxes, woodwind, rhythm section and vocalists. The orchestra play a wide variety of styles including many jazz classics and some original compositions – swing, latin, funky, rocky. The arrangements are by Mark and other members of the group. The sound of the full orchestra is magnificent, full of warmth and vitality. Come on down to the jamboree which they have generously laid on to raise funds for St Peter & St James Hospice.
