The Big Blue Shed present: The Skatalites (formed in 1963) a pioneering Jamaican ska and reggae group, they are the co-creators of the ska genre with an influence that transcends continents.

The Skatalites are arguably the most prolific band and collective of talented and pioneering musicians to ever emerge from Jamaica. Among illustrious guest appearances and collaborations with highly revered artists, being the creators of a new contemporary genre and continuing to reinvent their sound and direction, The Skatalites remain one of the most influential and respected bands of their time.

Function Room

Club Members can hire the function room for parties, meetings and other events, especially on Saturday evenings. Rates are very reasonable and we can provide all sorts of additional resources to make your evening go with a swing!
