On the main stage a rare appearance by this popular Lewes band The Koils - Everyone remembers the gargantuan gigs of rock history – Beatles Shea stadium, Bob Dylan Budukan, Hendrix Woodstock and of course The Koils Lewes Arms. Now the monsters of Trio-assic 60’s power music are back! Put together a Contender, an ex-Kondom and an Elevator and the glory days are once again upon us. Who can forget standing on a bench craning their necks over Dominic pole-dancing to catch a glimpse of Fran, Mick and Jim banging out the classics from the fire grate next to the Toads table. Playing the songs that will take you back to when hair was what grew on your head not from nose and ears - the boys are back in town!
Expect to hear numbers from Cream, The Who, Beatles, Kinks, Byrds, Stones, Small Faces…..Magic Sam….
Support by the Sumerian Kyngs
Sumerian Kyngs create waves of swamp-drenched, psychedelic grooves. ‘’The Doors meet Hawkwind in outta space on peyote." Now enriched by the percussion of Graham Durrant (14 Iced Bears), Trevor Nobes on guitar, Cliff Xanthus on electronics and lighting and Stuart McKay on harmonica, The Kyngs generate an out-of-body soundscape of psychedelic power. Led now by the Dark Saint of off-grid enchantment, the uncompromising Tony Green, the SKs weave a complex, textured groove of layered instrumental brilliance that leaves the audience spellbound.
The SKs perform widely in London, the south-east and are hitting the British festival scene again this year.
